Gianrico Carofiglio is an Italian writer, lawyer, and politician. He was born in Bari, Italy, in 1961. Carofiglio worked as a lawyer for over 20 years before he began writing fiction. He has written numerous novels, including Cocaine, which was published in 2004. Carofiglio's novels have been translated into over 20 languages and have won numerous awards.
